In Depth

The design of the assembly seats did not consider left-handed users. The range of right-handed users may appear to be more common but universal does not exclude anyone. Flexibility in use is supposed to accommodate a wide range of user abilities and preference, including those that are left-handed.

Examples

  • Scissors that are designed to be equally usable for both left and right-handed people.

  • ATM with tapered card, visual, tactile, palm rest and audio feedback provides accessability for people with sensory disabilities.
